Our History
Green Sky Solar was established in 2008 by an electrician with a passion for renewable energy. In March 2021, we entered a new era with Matt Slutzkin taking over the company. Matt brings renewed energy (pun intended!) to Green Sky Solar and loves helping people find the perfect solar PV system that matches their requirements and energy usage.
We have been around for over 15 years, and we are only just getting started!

We are committed to a green future through energy creation & energy efficiency. We want to leave our mark on the planet by helping as many people as possible to NOT leave a mark on the planet. How? By helping them reduce their reliance on dirty energy with the most suitable solar and battery solution for their situation.
Our Values
We know that there are lots of choices for your solar and battery system. However, we put our customer’s needs and requirements ahead of our own, even if that means losing a sale. Furthermore, we only work with the best quality products, we only use qualified, experienced installers, and we stand by our excellent reputation. Our formula is simple: great people, quality products and a top level service, equals happy customers!
Meet the Team
Matt Slutzkin
Chief Sun Saver
After 20 years in corporate life doing finance-based roles, Matt purchased Green Sky Australia in March 2021. With a passion for renewable energy and running a small business, Green Sky Solar was a perfect fit for his two interests! Matt is Mr Everything, running sales, looking after all the back-end systems, as well as troubleshooting customer issues. Matt is excited for the future of the whole renewable sector and can’t wait to build on Green Sky Solar’s excellent reputation. In his spare time, Matt can be found with his sons watching Collingwood when he’s not goal umpiring for the Southern Football Netball League!

The Installation team
Qualified Electricians & Apprentices
On the day of your installation, you will meet our team, made up of some or all of the following staff members:
1. Brad – Our head installer with over 15 years experience in the industry, Brad joined Green Sky Solar in 2016. Brad is SAA Accredited for both Solar and Battery installations.
2. Pat – Pat comes to Green Sky from a very unique background: wine! He spent over a decade working in a vinyard before switching his “juice”, joining Green Sky Solar in March 2024 and commencing his apprenticeship.
3. Dylan – Combining his 15 years experience in roofing with his passion for renewable energy, Dylan joined Green Sky Solar in April 2025 to begin his apprenticeship.
4. Dayton – A fresh face to our team, Dayton joined Green Sky Solar in May 2025 to begin his electrical journey also.
5. Abby/Oliver – A pair of 16-year-olds with a passion for solar, Abby and Oliver are doing work experience with Green Sky Solar as they complete their VCE.
